We are seeking Middle School Teachers for an App Inventor Course. (Rate is dependent upon sessions worked, subject to change due to enrollment changes) Dates: June 22 - July 2 , July 6–17, and July 20–31 Description: In this course, students will learn to create and maintain web pages through front-end coding. Students will begin by designing a website layout on paper and then translate that design into code. Topics will include layout, typography, color usage, links, page structure, and file organization. Students will also learn essential HTML tags related to images, text formatting, and divs. Advanced topics such as cascading style sheets (CSS) and external style sheets will be introduced. Through experimentation and trial and error, students will gain confidence in coding. The course will culminate in a final presentation of each student’s website. We offer an academically focused K - 5 Summer Camp; the Summer Institute for Middle and High School-aged students; and our English Language Institute for international students. Our summer programs reflect our commitment to providing Bay Area children with a dynamic and exciting educational experience. Position Summary Plan and implement academic instruction that contributes to the camp goals and individual campers development. The summer academic teacher is responsible for planning, teaching and overseeing a particular academic class.
