Overview University Instructors LLC is seeking talented people from diverse backgrounds to lead, change, and inspire students in the Manassas area for SY 25-26. In this role you will serve students in special education or general education programs as a classroom teacher. Candidates that hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in ANY field are eligible to take part in our pathways program. In this program you can become eligible for a provisional teaching license for school year 2025-26 and beyond. Responsibilities Role and Responsibilities In this role, you’ll: Provide specially designed instruction to students with disabilities. Modify and adapt lesson plans for reading, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science to accommodate students with disabilities in a classroom, utilizing course of study adopted by the appropriate authorities. Translate the lessons into learning experiences to best utilize instructional time. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports. Communicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss student progress and to interpret the school program. Identify students’ needs and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems. Develop, implement, supervise, and evaluate Individual Education Programs and instructional classroom programs. Review student files to determine appropriate programming. Supervise students' in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned work day. Participate in curriculum development programs as required.
