About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher to champion the specialized 'STARS' Program in charming Norwalk, CT for the remainder of the '25-'26 school year! Position Overview: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in grades 6-8, utilizing data collection to monitor progress and adjust instruction effectively. Provide direct, specialized instruction within the STARS program for a mixed-grade class of up to 12 students with diverse learning needs. Directly manage, coordinate, and collaborate with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and paraprofessionals to maintain a supportive and structured classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid Connecticut State Teaching Certification (165) in Special Education
  • Prior experience with IEP data collection, development, and implementation (Required)
