About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to support middle school students through individualized and inclusive instructional practices. This role involves delivering both push-in and pull-out services to help students with diverse learning needs succeed academically and socially.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey Department of Education Instructional License
- Certification in Middle School Special Education
- Highly Qualified status in English Language Arts and/or Mathematics
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction using push-in and pull-out models
- Adapt and modify curriculum based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive classrooms
- Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and performance tracking
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social growth
- Partner with teachers, staff, and administrators to implement student success strategies
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and goal setting
