Position Overview: Provide specialized, multi-domain instruction to lead the success of students with a wide spectrum of needs by filling one of our two critical full-time 6th-grade roles: the Life Skills Lead Teacher or the Special Education Inclusion and Resource Teacher. Design and deliver intensive, evidence-based instruction in core subjects with the strategic goal of closing significant academic gaps (2+ years) within a single school year. Develop, implement, and monitor the review process for comprehensive Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), managing a specialized caseload of 12-15 students. Implement rigorous and consistent data-driven assessment cycles to monitor student performance, document progress, and proactively adapt instructional strategies to ensure continuous goal attainment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Current Texas Special Education Teacher Certification

  • Proven experience developing and leading compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Demonstrated ability to implement data-driven instruction to close significant academic gaps (Highly Preferred)
