What your day will look like: Under supervision, you will perform a variety of routine clerical and supportive activities for instructional personnel, and other related work as required. You have the ability to lift, carry, pull, push or otherwise move 25 to 50 pounds. You have the ability to walk or stand for extended periods. You can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or equivalency.
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, push or otherwise move 25 to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• As directed by the teacher, work with an individual or small group of students who have learning disabilities.
• Make effective use of instructional materials and demonstrate effective methods of instruction to ensure that the individual student performance levels, needs, and abilities are addressed.
• Exercise behavior management and maintain control of students assigned to your care.
• Collaborate with teachers and other paraprofessionals in the special education and general education classrooms.
