About The Position
To deliver high-quality science instruction that fosters critical thinking, scientific literacy, and inquiry-based learning for students in grades 6–8.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Secondary Education.
- Valid State Teaching License with Middle School Science endorsement.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and digital science applications.
Nice To Haves
- Prior classroom experience in a middle school setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement standards-based lessons (NGSS) covering Life, Physical, and Earth Sciences.
- Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiences, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and equipment maintenance.
- Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies.
- Establish a structured, inclusive learning environment conducive to adolescent development.
- Participate in grade-level and departmental meetings to align curriculum and analyze student data.
- Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders (parents, administration, and colleagues) regarding student achievement.
