About The Position

PODER Academy Secondary School Middle School Science Teacher (Grades 7th and 8th) The Mission PODER Secondary is an innovative college-prep school focused on proficiency. Student scores in the core subjects exceed national and state averages. Position Summary PODER Secondary is a small-school environment where teachers track individual students and tailor instruction accordingly. There is a heavy focus on classroom management where behavior disruptions are minimized. Seeking creative minds who enjoy teaching science.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree
• Able to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with 7th and 8th grade and/or experience working with diverse students is a plus (not required)
• Multiple Certifications/Endorsements is a plus (not required)
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus (not required)

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and deliver instruction
• Provide small group and individual instruction
• Provide weekly lesson plans to the Principal
• Collaborate with team members to develop innovative instruction techniques
