Compensation is determined by the instructional salary scale and is non-negotiable. Middle School Teachers may be content-specialized. At KIPP DC, the belief is that students thrive academically and socially in environments with high and clear expectations, where positive choices and contributions are celebrated and acknowledged. Proactively building a positive school culture is essential for student academic and social growth, as well as the growth of executive functioning skills. The use of restorative practices is considered essential for students’ growth and well-being and is an integral part of a positive school culture.
