About The Position

The position involves overseeing the overall vision, concept, and execution of a musical production. The Director will lead auditions and casting decisions in collaboration with the production team, plan and supervise rehearsals, and ensure that scenes flow smoothly and align with the artistic vision. The role requires close collaboration with the vocal director, choreographer, and stage crew manager to coordinate all elements of the show. Additionally, the Director will guide student actors in character development, blocking, and stage presence. The Vocal Director will teach and rehearse all musical numbers with student cast members, providing vocal coaching to help students with pitch, tone, diction, and projection. They will lead music rehearsals and collaborate with the Director to align music with staging, coordinating with accompanists and musicians as needed for rehearsals and performances. The Choreographer will design and teach dance and movement sequences for musical numbers, ensuring that choreography complements staging and singing while adapting to the skill levels of students. They will lead dance rehearsals and provide ongoing coaching on movement and stage presence. The Stage Crew Manager will recruit and train student stage crew members, oversee backstage operations including set changes, props, and technical cues, and collaborate with the Director and Producer to ensure that all stage elements are ready for rehearsals and performances. They will also ensure safety and smooth backstage management during all performances. The Producer will manage the organizational, financial, and logistical aspects of the production, overseeing the budget, fundraising, ticket sales, and publicity. They will coordinate communication between school administration, staff, parents, and the production team, support rehearsal scheduling, and ensure that all production deadlines are met, providing overall leadership to ensure the production runs smoothly.
