About The Position

Clinton Middle School is seeking a dedicated Math Teacher who combines a high level of professional expertise with a passion for middle-level education. This role is designed for an educator who can translate complex mathematical concepts into accessible, engaging lessons while maintaining a structured and supportive classroom environment. Our goal is to cultivate a learning space where students feel challenged to grow their skills and confident in their ability to tackle the challenges of middle school mathematics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Middle Level Mathematics (or eligibility for certification).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a proficiency in using educational technology to enhance the learning experience.
  • A commitment to continuous professional growth and a genuine interest in the developmental needs of middle school students.

Responsibilities

  • Standards-Based Instruction: Design and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with Oklahoma Academic Standards, focusing on building both procedural fluency and conceptual understanding.
  • Student Engagement: Implement active learning strategies that encourage student participation and foster a positive attitude toward mathematical problem-solving.
  • Differentiated Learning: Proactively adapt materials and teaching methods to support a diverse range of learners, ensuring accessibility for all students regardless of their starting point.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student performance using various tools; provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families to guide academic growth.
  • Classroom Leadership: Maintain a professional and well-managed classroom culture built on clear expectations, mutual respect, and academic accountability.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with grade-level peers and the math department to share resources, analyze student data, and contribute to a school-wide culture of excellence.
