About The Position

SRCS seeks a passionate, faith-driven Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. This individual will teach a math curriculum that is in alignment with Christian values. The ideal candidate is a gifted educator who inspires a love of learning, mathematical logic, reasoning and exploration, while fostering students’ spiritual and intellectual development. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Education, or a related field
  • Valid Florida Teaching Certification in Math or Middle Grades Education
  • Active member of Spanish River Presbyterian Church or another church approved by school leadership
  • A strong personal commitment to the Christian faith and biblical worldview
  • Demonstrated ability to engage middle school students and differentiate instruction effectively

Responsibilities

  • Model a mature Christian faith through speech, conduct, and daily life
  • Integrate biblical principles into classroom instruction and student interactions
  • Demonstrate daily commitment to prayer, Scripture, and Christian service
  • Foster respectful, caring relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate Math instruction aligned with school standards
  • Design and implement Math lessons that present the curriculum in a clear and engaging way, leaving room for students to question and understand mathematical principals and methods
  • Encourage critical thinking, problem solving, and facilitate a clear understanding of the math curriculum for students
  • Assess and monitor student learning using a variety of formative and summative tools
  • Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations, offering consistent, loving discipline
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote a unified school community
  • Attend faculty meetings, staff development sessions, and parent conferences
  • Provide timely communication with parents regarding student progress and needs
  • Support school programs and co-curricular activities beyond the classroom
