Position Overview: Develop and execute rigorous, standards-aligned unit and weekly lesson plans tailored to the academic needs and developmental interests of 6th-grade Math or 8th-grade Science students. Foster a developmentally appropriate and highly conducive learning environment that reflects a commitment to academic excellence and student leadership. Monitor student progress by utilizing diagnostic assessment tools regularly to identify individual learning gaps, implementing targeted interventions or acceleration strategies to ensure all students meet mastery. Employ a diverse range of instructional techniques and media consistent with best practices to engage various learning styles and capabilities within the classroom.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Valid Tennessee Teaching License with the appropriate subject area endorsement (Required)
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of teaching experience, particularly within an urban or charter school setting (Highly Preferred)
