Are you an educator committed to growth and collaborative collegiality? Are you eager to teach in a school dedicated to supporting strong academic and community-oriented student habits without the technological and behavioral distractions common in other schools? Consider joining our growing and joyful school community. An independent school for girls in grades 6-12, guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church, Montrose School was founded in 1979 and is located in the welcoming community of Medfield, 17 miles southwest of Boston. Montrose School attracts a talented and growing student population from over 50 towns and communities. The students and their families as well as the faculty and staff are noted for their commitment to the school’s mission – educating young women who are called to greatness. Montrose seeks an accomplished teacher of middle school math and science for a temporary position starting April 1 through June 10 to teach 2 sections of 6th grade Math and 2 sections of 6th grade science. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic department that fosters a growth mindset in students through exceptional student skill development, a hands-on approach to teaching, and positive student-teacher relationships. Comfort working one-on-one with students and being open and accessible to providing extra-help, while demonstrating proficiency and comfort with technology and delivering blended learning are key attributes of a successful candidate. Compelling applicants will have significant coursework in a relevant subject (a master’s degree is preferred, but not required), at least three years of classroom experience, and an appreciation for all-girls’ education. For the 2025–26 academic year, faculty salaries range from $55,000 to $90,000 annually. Placement within this range is dependent on education credentials, teaching experience, and internal equity. Compensation for leave coverage positions will be prorated based on the duration of the appointment. Qualified and interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, a resume and three letters of reference.
