About The Position

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the duties outlined below, in addition to those described in the Math Interventionist job description on file with Talent/HR for the District, and those provided for in the employee handbook. Your scheduled work hours are 7:30am – 4:30pm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Special Education, or a closely related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification in Oklahoma preferred; or Special Education endorsements are a plus.
  • Demonstrated skill in delivering targeted numeracy interventions, progress monitoring, and using data to drive instruction.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills to effectively track student growth and coordinate support.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, instructional coaches, and student support teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Oklahoma standards-based intervention plans that address the math needs of students at varying skill levels.
  • Provide targeted whole-group, small-group, and/or one-on-one instruction to accelerate student growth in foundational numeracy.
  • Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies, ensuring each student makes measurable gains.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention supports with core instruction and grade-level expectations.
  • Embrace and apply feedback from coaching, walkthroughs, and data discussions to continuously improve instructional practice.
  • Partner with content and grade-level teams to promote an environment that prioritizes critical thinking, academic rigor, and equitable learning opportunities for all students.
  • Build trusting, positive, and supportive relationships with students and families that reinforce high expectations and academic confidence.
  • Participate fully in school culture responsibilities, including morning duty, hallway oversight, lunch duty, and dismissal supervision.
  • Attend and actively engage in school-based events such as staff meetings, back-to-school nights, open houses, orientations, parent-teacher conferences, PTO events, and other community gatherings.
  • Create, update, and communicate individualized intervention plans to families and teachers to ensure unified support for student progress.
  • Demonstrate professionalism through timely communication, documentation, and adherence to deadlines.
