About The Position

Middle School Intramural Basketball Coach, Salem Public Schools, Salem, MA [SY 2025-2026] INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY Intramural Basketball Coaches Needed! We’re gearing up for another season of intramural basketball and are looking for staff members interested in coaching. No prior coaching experience is required, just a willingness to support students, build their skills, and create a positive, team-oriented environment. Teams will typically have one practice per week and 1–2 games, with most games held on Saturday mornings at Collins Middle School. We will hold two practices before winter break—on December 5 and 19—and will provide a full schedule when we return. is a description of what we are looking for. Duties include safety of athletes, writing and supervising workouts for various events, presence at all meets and fundraising. Previous coaching/playing experience required. This will include: coordinating tryouts, practice planning, game management, and fundraising. The coach will also work to ensure all school policies/procedures are being followed as it relates to the athletic programs.
