Middle School Intervention Specialist, Southeast Local School

About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intervention Specialist to join our middle school team in a Multiple Disabilities (MD) classroom. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Ohio teaching license with a Moderate to Intensive Intervention Specialist endorsement. This position involves working collaboratively with staff to provide individualized instruction, behavioral supports, and life skills development for students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Provide direct instruction in academic, functional, and social-emotional skills
• Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment

Requirements

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (Moderate/Intensive)
• Experience or strong interest in working with students with multiple disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
