About The Position

The primary purpose of the Instructional Aide is to support the classroom teacher with monitoring of the learning center and facilitating students learning progress. This position is full-time, 10 months, hourly, and 100% onsite at the Flagship Campus.

Requirements

• Ability to work with children, love for children and learning
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Preferred: teaching or working with children

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher
• Foster a love of learning and celebrate scholar successes
• Model and promote BA character traits to scholars
• Implement technology and software programs provided by BA
• Support the teacher in monitoring and assessing scholars' daily work
• Supervise scholars with full attention at all times
• Manage and take ownership of scholar discipline in all areas of the school
• Follow school drills and sub protocol procedures
• Maintain a neat, clean, orderly, safe, and educationally-centered environment
• Work collaboratively with team members
• Help perform daily uniform checks
• Ensure neatness and attention to detail in scholar folders/files
• Make requested copies and ensure task completion
• Demonstrate professionalism by being in regular attendance
• Complete required trainings on time
• Create an atmosphere of unity among the school community
• Utilize professional communication in all interactions
• Exhibit professionalism in appearance and follow the BA standard of dress
• Check staff email a minimum of three times daily
