As a Middle School Humanities Associate Teacher at Springfield Prep, you will develop as a teacher through on-the-ground experience with students of varying ages and abilities, with the end goal of leading a secondary ELA or Social Studies classroom. You will teach daily, small group academic support lessons to students who would benefit from targeted remediation or additional challenge. Additionally, you will substitute teach when teachers are absent or have meetings to ensure that rigorous, consistent instruction is continued. Your role will also involve exemplifying the belief that all students can achieve at the highest levels through collaboration with classroom teachers to meet the needs of all students, including those with learning differences. You will lead daily recess and lunch duties and develop strong relationships with students and families to contribute to positive classroom cultures with high expectations.
