To achieve our vision, we are searching for Middle School History Teachers with a Bachelor’s degree and at least 1-2+ years of lead teaching experience (NY certification preferred), with a proven record of propelling extraordinary student growth. The salary range for this position is between $63,000 and $114,000. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary closer to the beginning of the range, depending on relevant experience, certification status, and internal equity. Compensation is based on our salary scales.

Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

Plan inquiry-driven, academically rigorous History lessons that spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and empower all students to engage meaningfully with learning.
Build a vibrant, inclusive classroom culture that nurtures a genuine love of learning and strengthens the sense of community among students and families.
Internalize and deeply master Zeta’s academic and social-emotional curriculum, developing the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional instruction each day.
Champion Zeta’s ambitious academic goals—including ensuring that 90%+ of students achieve on or above grade level in History—and work relentlessly to help every student reach those outcomes.
Utilize data, student work, and research-based resources to drive student achievement and continuously refine your teaching practice.
Develop strong, authentic relationships with students and families to support each child’s academic growth and personal development.
Collaborate closely with colleagues and engage in weekly professional learning, embracing coaching and feedback as you grow into a highly effective educator.
