The Harlem Educational Activities Fund (HEAF) is a comprehensive supplemental education and youth development organization that works to help motivated students develop the intellectual curiosity, academic ability, social values, and personal resilience they need to ensure success in school, career, and life. HEAF identifies scholars in middle school and supports them until they graduate from college through a variety of after-school, Saturday, and summer educational and youth development programs. Position Description: The ideal candidate will be able to support our middle school and high school students' needs via instruction as well as program planning. We are looking for someone passionate about youth development who has experience working with both MS & HS students, is comfortable facilitating lesson plans about life skills, college readiness, and general education, and has experience working in administrative roles in an educational setting. HEAF has two primary modes of learning that our program offers. HEAF Achieve, which caters to our 6th - 12th grade students who take weekly classes and attend weekly program offerings on site, and HEAF Inspire, which caters to the same grade levels but actually supports directly at the Middle School or High School we are partnered with. This role supports our full-time programming staff by ensuring that all programming needs are met, ranging from instruction on-site and instruction at the schools we collaborate with, to record-keeping, chaperoning, and outreach to our program’s students and families. This role is extremely diverse and is designed to supplement our families in multiple ways to ensure we are offering the highest quality of programming!
