About The Position

Girard College is seeking a certified Health and Physical Education Teacher for middle school students, starting approximately February 24, 2025. The role involves implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with PA State Standards, collaborating with other teachers and residential staff, and actively participating in the school's academic and residential community. The teacher will focus on fostering academic achievement and character development among students from underserved communities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Minimum of a Level I Instructional Certificate or above in Health & Physical Education from the PA Department of Education.
• Teaching experience preferred with a proven record of high academic and social achievement.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
• High level of personal organization and planning.
