Grace Church School seeks a confident and creative geometry teacher who loves teaching middle school students to teach an enrichment class to advanced mathematics students. The ideal candidate values conceptual understanding of geometric ideas—such as reasoning, proof, spatial relationships, and connections between algebra and geometry—alongside procedural fluency. The teacher should bring tools and strategies for differentiating instruction within heterogeneous groups, and will collaborate closely with colleagues to implement and refine curriculum. We are looking for an educator who is committed to social justice, diversity, equity, and anti-bias education, communicates effectively with students, families, and colleagues, and approaches teaching with curiosity and a commitment to professional growth. Teaching responsibilities would include one section two-year geometry elective spanning seventh and eighth grade, designed for students ready for a deeper exploration of geometric reasoning and proof. Additional duties may include lunch duty, math lab, tutorial, and other supervisory responsibilities. Familiarity with the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum is a plus.
