About The Position

St. Luke’s School, a secular, college-preparatory day school serving grades 5 through 12 in New Canaan, Connecticut, seeks a French teacher to cover 4 Middle School French classes, beginning immediately and running through at least February 13, possibly longer.

Requirements

• Strong background in French
• Inspiring, positive, flexible, collaborative teacher
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with children ages 11-14

Responsibilities

• Teach 5 Middle School French classes: French 6, French 7, French 7A, French 8, and French 8A ("A" indicates advanced).
• Plan lessons following the curriculum, maintain an open online grade book, and administer and grade assessments.
