About The Position

The position involves implementing lessons from the EL Education Curriculum and delivering instruction that aligns with State standards and district curriculum. The educator will provide ongoing formative and summative assessments, analyze assessment data to determine the learning needs of students, and adapt the EL Education curriculum and instruction based on this data to cater to the varied learning strengths and needs of all students. Additionally, the role requires establishing and maintaining culturally responsive communication with parents, guardians, and caregivers, as well as collaborating with other educators to deliver specialized instruction and social and emotional support according to students' needs. The educator will follow the guidance of the School Principal and other school and district administrators to maintain a safe, welcoming, culturally affirming, and equitable learning environment. Participation in professional growth opportunities, reflecting on current practices, and incorporating new methodologies into instructional planning and delivery are also key responsibilities. The educator is expected to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional design and demonstrate a commitment to remaining current in content knowledge. Furthermore, the role involves partnering and collaborating with department colleagues and specialists, establishing effective relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, and integrating technology to enhance student learning experiences. Other relative duties may be assigned as needed.
