About The Position

Holy Redeemer School is seeking a dedicated Middle School English Language Arts Teacher to foster a Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environment. The ideal candidate will support the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of students while upholding the mission and vision of Holy Redeemer in alignment with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS). The teacher will integrate Catholic values into instruction, maintain high academic expectations, and cultivate a classroom community rooted in faith, respect, and a love for learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification appropriate for elementary or middle school education.
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
  • Strong understanding of Catholic teachings and commitment to faith-based education.
  • Prior classroom teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic school setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with educational technology to enhance instruction.

  • Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, and religious celebrations.

  • Utilize diverse teaching methods, including differentiated instruction.
  • Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and strong literacy skills.
  • Integrate technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Support students’ spiritual, academic, and social-emotional growth.
  • Maintain high expectations for student behavior and achievement.
  • Assess learning using both formative and summative methods.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding progress.
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with students, families, and staff.
  • Participate in school functions, activities, and service projects.
  • Model faith, service, and academic excellence within the school community.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Reflect on instructional practices and seek feedback for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and instructional goals.
