About The Position
Emmanuel Christian School is seeking a Middle School English Language Arts Teacher and History teacher who is passionate about literacy/history, critical thinking, and shaping students who communicate with clarity and purpose. This role serves grades 6–8 and emphasizes strong reading, writing, discussion, and grammar skills through a Christ-centered lens. The ideal candidate brings experience, energy, and a love for middle school learners. This role is foundational in shaping students intellectually, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (or relevant experience as determined by administration).
- Valid teaching license or ability to obtain (preferred).
- Agreement with and commitment to the mission, vision, and doctrinal statement of Emmanuel Christian School.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in assigned subject areas.
- Integrate biblical worldview thoughtfully into daily teaching.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
- Maintain organized lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Utilize appropriate educational technology and instructional tools.
- Establish and maintain a positive, structured learning environment.
- Promote student responsibility, collaboration, and respect.
- Implement consistent classroom management practices aligned with school culture.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
