About The Position

The Fairview Park City Schools has an opening for a Drama Technical Assistant for the Spring Play for the 2025-2026 school year. JOB OBJECTIVES : Provides technical support for stage productions, including but not limited to set design and construction, lighting and sound Educates, instructs and oversees student production crews

Requirements

• Post-secondary training in field desirable
• Experience/proficiency with stage design, lighting and sound
• Keeps current with technological advances that support the job functions
• Available to work irregular hours / non-traditional schedule

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Drama Director to design sets, lights and sound for the spring production
• Assists with the preparation and monitoring of the production budget
• Responsible for instructing and overseeing student construction / creating of sets, props, lighting and sound prior to the spring production
• Attend all tech week rehearsals and performances to oversee the execution of scene changes, lighting cues and sound cues
• Responsible for instructing and overseeing student strike and storage of all sets, props, lighting and sound upon completion of spring production
• Assist Drama Director and students in maintenance, organization and cleanliness of the auditorium, stage, dressing rooms and storage areas
