About The Position

Devon Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Middle School/9th Grade Theology Teacher who will create engaging lessons to educate young men about the Catholic faith. The role involves teaching the curriculum focused on the New Testament, Old Testament, and the 7 Sacraments, while fostering a love for the Catholic faith and embodying the Piarist values.

Requirements

• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
• Degree in Catholic Theology or Catechetic preferred or experience in Middle School/9th grade Ministry setting
• Passion for teaching students about Christ and the Church
• Willingness to service within the community and outside the community with students
• Experience writing curriculum preferred

Responsibilities

• Create and conduct engaging lessons
• Grade in a timely manner
• Model faith and good citizenship for students
• Model and encourage good behavior, charity, and compassion
• Assist in retreats for Middle School and other activities
