This is a permanent, full-time, exempt (salaried) position, working from Monday through Friday. This position is located in Enterprise, FL. Requirements

  • Valid driver license with a clean driving record, required.
  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree, required.
  • Active Florida State Teaching Certification, required.
  • Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in English, required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality academic instruction aligned with state standards while integrating Social Emotional Learning into daily lessons.
  • Develop lesson plans that support self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, responsible decision-making, and relationship-building.
  • Use trauma-informed instructional practices designed for students who may have experienced instability, loss, or trauma.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic and emotional needs.
  • Build trusting relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or placement disruptions.
  • Teach and model healthy coping strategies, communication skills, and conflict resolution.
  • Support students in developing confidence, self-regulation, and positive peer interactions.
  • Identify emotional or behavioral concerns and collaborate with school support staff for interventions.
  • Maintain a safe, predictable, and supportive classroom culture.
  • Implement positive behavior supports and restorative practices.
  • Establish consistent routines that promote emotional security and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with administrators, foster parents, program therapist, and child welfare professionals when appropriate.
  • Participate in student support meetings and contribute to individualized learning or behavioral plans.
  • Communicate regularly with caregivers and school staff regarding student progress.
  • Monitor student academic progress and social-emotional development.
  • Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation as required by the school.
  • Use assessment data to guide instruction and student support strategies.
  • Perform all other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
