The Chapin School, an independent K-12 day school for girls located in New York City, seeks a student-centered, collaborative, and innovative educator to serve as Middle and Upper School Health Educator (Grades 6-12). An expert in their field, Chapin’s Health Educator is a primary supporter of Chapin’s emphasis on teaching the whole child, with health and wellness at the center of learning and preparing students for success outside of Chapin’s walls. Through dedicated time in the school day, the Middle and Upper School Health Educator promotes students’ abilities to make healthy decisions about their own lives. By ensuring high-quality, comprehensive health education that aligns with the National Health Education Standards, the Health Educator supports each student’s needs to make well-informed, independent choices in all aspects of their academic and extracurricular lives. An integral member of both the Middle and Upper School Divisions, the Health Educator (Grades 6-12) will work in collaboration with the Class 4 and Class 5 Health Educators, with guidance from both the Upper and Middle School Division Heads, and under the direct supervision of the Director of Student Counseling Services.
