About The Position

We are seeking an experienced middle school and high school math tutor</b> to work one -to -one with students in their homes or at local libraries throughout Marin County. This is an in -person, after -school tutoring position for educators who enjoy building relationships with students and helping them gain confidence in math. </span></p> This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, or educators looking for flexible, part -time work with consistent students and strong administrative support. </span></p>

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of math tutoring or teaching experience</b> </span></p></li>
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required</span> </span></p></li>
• Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging teaching style</span> </span></p></li>
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally within Marin County</span> </span></p></li>
• Ability to engage and motivate middle school and high school students</span> </span></p></li>
• Dependable, professional, and organized</span> </span></p></li>

Nice To Haves

• Teaching credential and/or Master’s degree in education</span> </span></p></li>
• Experience working in after -school programs, tutoring centers, or private tutoring</span> </span></p></li>
• Familiarity with California math curriculum standards</span> </p></li>

Responsibilities

• Provide one -to -one math tutoring for middle school and high school students </span></p></li>
• Support coursework including pre -algebra, algebra, geometry, and higher -level math as needed </span></p></li>
• Help students build strong problem -solving skills, confidence, and academic habits </span></p></li>
• Communicate clearly with students and families about progress and goals </span></p></li>
• Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to engage students in learning </span></p></li>
• Tutor students after school hours, primarily weekdays </span></p></li>
