About The Position

The Mid-Market Retail Account Executive (AE) will be a dynamic, strategic, and highly consultative sales professional with deep, established relationships across the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and Fast Casual restaurant segments. This role is designed for an industry anchored seller who brings direct experience with multiunit restaurant operators, franchised brands, and restaurant support centers, and who can leverage that credibility to rapidly engage senior decisionmakers. The AE is expected to secure executive level meetings within the first 60 days by activating an established and trusted network of senior restaurant executives. Success will be driven by aligning WWT’s full portfolio—including AI, data and analytics, cyber, digital infrastructure, restaurant technology ecosystems, hardware, and implementation services—to the operational, guest experience, and growth challenges facing restaurant brands today. This role targets QSR and fast casual organizations in the $1B–$25B revenue range, engaging C-suite and senior leaders across IT, Operations, Digital, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance. The AE will apply deep industry insight to develop tailored selling motions aligned to outcomes such as labor optimization, speed-of-service improvement, digital ordering adoption, omnichannel guest experiences, store modernization, supply chain resiliency, and restaurant technology uptime. This position requires close collaboration with internal WWT teams and partners to shape complex, multi‑tower solutions and build long‑term, strategic client relationships. A proven record of consultative selling into QSR, fast casual, or adjacent multi‑location retail environments is essential.

Requirements

  • Deep Restaurant Industry Expertise & Relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to activate an established network of trusted senior‑level relationships (C‑suite / SVP) within QSR and fast‑casual restaurant organizations.
  • Proven capability to secure executive meetings and meaningful engagement within the first 60 days of a role.
  • Prior experience selling into top QSR or fast‑casual restaurant brands or large multi‑unit operators.
  • Strong understanding of corporate‑owned and franchised restaurant operating models and decision‑making dynamics.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with restaurant support center and field‑operations environments.
  • Technical & Business Acumen (Restaurant‑Aligned)
  • Knowledge of core restaurant technology ecosystems, including POS platforms, digital and mobile ordering, delivery aggregation, kitchen display systems (KDS), labor/workforce management, menu and pricing platforms, and network/edge/security infrastructure.
  • Ability to translate complex technologies (AI, analytics, cyber, cloud, digital infrastructure) into tangible restaurant business outcomes, such as improved speed of service, reduced labor pressure, increased order accuracy, and enhanced guest satisfaction.
  • Market Presence & Industry Credibility
  • Demonstrated industry credibility within the QSR and fast‑casual restaurant ecosystem, developed through active participation in industry forums, peer networks, advisory groups, or customer communities.
  • Ability to leverage industry insight and relationships to accelerate executive access, influence buying decisions, and position solutions at the strategic level.
  • Familiarity with restaurant procurement processes, RFPs, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Sales Performance & Execution
  • 12–15+ years of consultative sales experience, selling into QSR, fast casual, or adjacent multi‑location retail sectors.
  • Proven success landing net‑new logos within large, distributed QSR / Fast Casual environments.
  • Experience selling multi‑tower solutions across digital, infrastructure, AI, data, cyber, and hardware offerings.
  • Strong ability to operate in fast‑paced, highly matrixed environments with ambiguity.
  • Leadership & Influence
  • Ability to influence client architectural and strategic direction through industry expertise and insight.
  • Experience guiding internal teams on restaurant‑specific nuances to ensure stronger solution alignment.
  • Demonstrated trusted‑advisor mindset in operational and digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive new client acquisition and expansion within QSR and fast‑casual restaurant organizations by positioning WWT’s full‑stack capabilities.
  • Leverage an established executive network to secure senior‑level meetings and generate qualified pipeline within the first 60 days.
  • Build, lead, and mentor cross‑functional pursuit teams across sales, solution architecture, delivery, and strategic partners.
  • Use data‑driven selling tools and analytics to prioritize high‑value restaurant brands and operators.
  • Engage ecosystem and channel partners across the restaurant technology landscape (POS, digital ordering, kitchen systems, networking, security, cloud).
  • Shape go‑to‑market and marketing strategies aligned to restaurant operating models and buying cycles.
  • Clearly articulate WWT’s differentiated value and how it addresses complex restaurant operational, digital, and scalability challenges.
  • Collaborate with Strategists, Presales Engineering, Marketing, and Delivery teams to qualify, shape, and expand opportunities across the full WWT portfolio.
