Mid-Market Account Executive - Chicago, IL Waitwhile is on a mission to eliminate the 1 trillion hours people spend waiting in lines every year. As an Account Executive at Waitwhile, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to our most valued customers across the North America region. In this role, you will become the go-to expert on our product, gaining a deep understanding of each customer’s business goals, challenges, and the solutions that deliver measurable value through our platform. You will collaborate closely with our Sales, Support, Product and Engineering teams to ensure seamless product implementations, sharing innovative best practices, and conducting strategic sessions to set goals and uncover improvement opportunities. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4–6+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with proven success in closing mid-market or upper-SMB deals.
  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of consultative and value-based selling.
  • Ability to navigate complex buying committees and multithread deals.
  • Familiarity with tools like ZoomInfo, HubSpot, Chorus, and Notion.
  • Ideal candidate will live in Greater Chicago, Illinois

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling to retail, education, or enterprise services is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle
  • Manage opportunities from first conversation to close.
  • Focus on deals in the $30K–$150K ARR range.
  • Build pipeline strategically
  • Partner with BDRs and Marketing to target the right accounts and industries.
  • You will be expected to drive pipeline through inbound and self-sourced outbound opportunities.
  • Run world-class demos and presentations
  • Partner with sales engineers to build custom tailored demos
  • Tailor messaging and ROI storytelling to each buyer persona
  • Be an expert on Waitwhile and the value that it brings each buyer persona
  • Negotiate and close deals
  • Deliver deals that create value for our customers and Waitwhile
  • Ensure that a deal is a good fit for Waitwhile and that we will continue to drive value over time
  • Collaborate cross-functionally
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to ensure alignment across campaigns, handoffs, and messaging.
  • Provide feedback from frontline prospecting to inform content, targeting, and product positioning with Marketing, Product, and CS to ensure smooth handoffs and impactful onboarding.
  • Track and forecast
  • Track all leads from top of funnel to close accurately in CRM (Hubspot) and contribute to data-driven pipeline reviews.
  • Own timelines and estimated closes for all deals.
