Boeing’s Space Launch System Core Stage production and functional testing at NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida is looking for a Mid-Level Test Technician to join their team. This role will be part of the Production Test Team that is testing and verifying our products to ensure the ultimate safety for human spaceflight. This effort includes the expansion of the test team to Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida. The Production Test Team does significant amounts of testing on the propulsion and hydraulic systems ensuring the proper build of the rocket, as well as functional testing of the flight avionics and instrumentation.   • Plans, conducts, and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies
  • Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities
  • Conduct system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
  • Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews
  • Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems
  • Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs
  • Coaches and trains others
  • Works under general direction
  • 1+ years of experience working in a lab test, factory test, or similar test environment
  • Willing and able to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance
  • This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Experience with leak testing or operation of pneumatic panels
  • 5+ years of experience in space-based propulsion system testing
  • 5+ years of experience with Avionics and/or Electrical systems
