About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Red LAN team is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer (Level 3) to join our team located in Colorado Springs, CO , to support systems/cyber engineers in managing cybersecurity artifacts, defining requirements, performing analyses, and controlling associated data and information. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance. A successful candidate will also communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting critical support of operational systems. Position Responsibilities: Support Systems Engineering in defining requirements, performing analysis and controlling data to ensure the system is meeting cyber security needs as stated in the contract Applies systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools to support operational systems and addition of new system capabilities Executes as the System Engineering interface for cyber security implementation activities Evaluates customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes Resolves cross-functional technical issues Oversee cybersecurity change management process, to include; Change Requests (CR) and Memo for Records (MFR) document generation, editing and tracking Interface with customer and key stakeholders to ensure definition and resolution of key cybersecurity requirements Document and review Work Instructions (WI) and Test Instruction Sheets (TIS) Develop interface definition documents, Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts, and other CDRL deliverables Provide technical solutions and work collaboratively with stakeholders on their needs, goals, expectations, and sensitivities Performs technical planning and control; maintains and improves processes and systems engineering tools Works under general direction This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of experience managing cyber security requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working on Department of War programs
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

  • Possess a TS/SCI Clearance
