System Administrators will plan, build, administer, and maintain SAP information systems that utilize a variety of technologies such as virtualization, virtual desktop infrastructure, Linux, Windows, Splunk, and a variety of user software in accordance with the Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF). System Administrators will ensure information systems are secure, available, and able to obtain and maintain authority to operate. System Administrators will prepare and maintain documentation required to secure, operate, and maintain information systems. System Administrators will communicate with the information technology (IT) team and management to ensure everyone is aware of issues and plans to resolve issues. System Administrators will configure networking equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls. System Administrators will assess proposed configuration changes to information systems and develop plans for implementing changes. System Administrators will participate in the change control and configuration management processes and will ensure configuration changes are appropriately documented and implemented. System Administrators may act as Data Transfer Agents (DTA) utilizing approved Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures. System Administrators will assist with the management of COMSEC keying material and equipment for multiple locations and configure and administer NSA approved Type 1 encryption devices in accordance with applicable policies and guidelines.
