About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Specialized United States (US) Infrastructure Operations (SUSIO) Organization is currently seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level System Administrator to join the team in Berkeley, MO. This position will install, operate, secure and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers. As a Systems Administrator, your expertise will play a crucial role in integrating logistics, manufacturing, and engineering into a cohesive ecosystem. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of a secure network that supports all tools and, more importantly, the personnel involved in this mission. This role directly supports our Air Dominance (AD) programs. You will be tasked with installing, operating, securing, and maintaining the dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure necessary for delivering products to our customers. We offer Enterprise capabilities within closed networks, encompassing standard office functions, application development stacks, engineering workflows, vulnerability remediation, and more.

Requirements

  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification
  • 3+ years of experience in VMWare Virtualization
  • 3+ years of experience in performing hardware installation, modification and testing
  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing secure Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) solutions
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Server 2016-2022 Windows 10)
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2022 - 2025 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 11
  • Experience with hands-on support with IT Hardware such as setting up, configuring, modifying and troubleshooting switches, routers, network equipment, high performance computing equipment, server racks
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience designing & implementing Windows Systems
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting operating system and installation problems
  • 3+ years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support
  • Experience with maintaining/configuring Active Directory (AD) to include applying domain group policies
  • Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
  • Experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware
  • Experience with NetBackup or Networker
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Unix/Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/Oracle) server/workstation
  • Experience evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution
  • Experience integrating security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, Host Based Security System) into information systems

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and support a broad range of basic systems and application support activities

  • Support of VMware Environmental Sensor Effects (ESX) environments
  • Provide operations support for both servers and desktop systems
  • Provide analysis of computing requirements
  • Install, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software and components
  • Ensure computing inventory tracking and shipping
  • Document and implement computer applications
  • Provide restoration of basic computing service operation
  • Support activities to ensure security of information and systems
  • Provide comprehensive computing support in closed environments
  • Protect classified and proprietary information
  • Support security audits as assigned
  • Maintain knowledge of various government and corporate security plans
