The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level System Administrator to join the Information Technology (IT) team in Hazelwood, MO or Berkeley, MO , supporting the Apache program, the world’s premier attack helicopter. As a System Administrator and member of the team, you will help build, optimize, and secure the technology that supports the Apache Training Systems environment. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting a secure network, with additional experience in patch management and collaborating with other System Administrators and internal teams to ensure a seamless integration of hardware, software, and networking components.

  • Install, configure and help maintain multi-platform (i.e. Windows, Linux) systems hardware, software and components
  • Perform the troubleshooting and restoration of routine service operations (backups/restores, networking, and domain-related functions)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, security, operations, and product teams, to ensure security is embedded in all phases of the application lifecycle
  • Integrate and configure security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, HBSS) into information systems
  • Participate in the planning and execution of upgrades and patches for operating systems and software
  • Participate in developing training guides, knowledge management articles, and processes and procedures
  • Automate tasks utilizing Bash, PowerShell, and/or other platforms
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Windows operating systems (Windows 10/ server 2012 or greater)
  • 3+ years of experience using PowerShell, Bash, and Python
  • 3+ years of experience with maintaining and configuring Active Directory (AD)
  • 1+ years of experience with Ansible, Chef, or other automation/configuration management tools
  • 1+ years of experience with Linux Operating Systems - RHEL 7 and newer
  • Experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies
  • Experience with McAfee ePO configuration and management
  • Experience with networking fundamentals
