About The Position

AtkinsRéal is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Bridge Engineer (Moving I-4 Forward) to join our team within the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO) located in Celebration, FL. This is an embedded position reporting to the office 5 days per week. This position will assist the Moving I-4 Forward program, one of the highest-profile projects in the state! This position will work with a team of engineers at the CPO, FDOT, and others around the state to deliver this program.

Requirements

• Have a degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have your PE and be in good standing.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Be knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
• Be proficient in production software and construction document production.
• Have a passion for formulating and solving problems with timely and innovative solutions.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project specifications.
• Prepare complete project documents, analysis, and reports.
• Analyze and interpret data.
• Perform analyses of design, planning, and impact studies, as well as cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and limited design layouts.
• Design complete projects, systems, components, and/or processes.
• Perform quality control reviews and field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects.
• Provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration.
• Manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams.
