Axient is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. This position is integral to the development and implementation of advanced simulation software solutions for our primary customers, the United States NAVY and Missile Defense Agency. The successful candidate will engage in high fidelity radar simulation systems, air and missile defense threat engineering, and combat analysis, contributing to critical systems that enhance decision-making capabilities for the warfighter. The role encompasses the entire software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, documentation, and delivery. The ideal candidate will be a proven team leader, capable of guiding and mentoring junior engineers throughout the software development process. This position requires a quick grasp of existing architectures and the ability to develop new ones while utilizing the latest technologies.
