About The Position

Global C2 Integration Technologies is looking for a high-performing Mid-Level Software Engineer to design, build, and modernize mission-critical platforms supporting Department of Defense and Federal customers. In this role, you will lead complex feature development end-to-end, influence architectural decisions, mentor junior teammates, and help shape engineering standards across programs. Our work operates in secure, regulated environments where reliability, performance, and security are not "nice-to-haves" - they are mission requirements.

Requirements

  • S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (Active Secret preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, Java, C#, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and containerized applications.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (IAM, networking, compute services).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or similar tooling.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting production systems in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., federal, defense, healthcare, or financial systems) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks or compliance processes (such as NIST, RMF, FedRAMP, or Zero Trust concepts).
  • Contributions to open-source projects, technical blogs, internal engineering communities, or formal mentorship programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle software development including architecture, design reviews, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Design and build secure, resilient, and scalable APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and distributed system components.
  • Own complex features and cross-cutting architectural concerns across systems.
  • Translate mission, security, and regulatory requirements into maintainable, high-performance software solutions.
  • Participate in technical road mapping, modernization efforts, and platform evolution.
  • Contribute to shared frameworks, reusable services, and platform components.
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration, and cloud-native runtime environments to enable secure, repeatable delivery.
  • Perform root cause analysis across distributed systems spanning application, infrastructure, and pipeline layers.
  • Establish robust testing and observability practices, including logging, monitoring, metrics, and alerting.
  • Protect system uptime and mission continuity in production environments.
  • Provide technical leadership on engineering initiatives, architecture decisions, and coding standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers through structured feedback and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote disciplined engineering practices and a culture of accountability.
  • Partner with program managers, system engineers, cybersecurity teams, and federal stakeholders to align technical execution with operational needs.
  • Support technical briefings, demonstrations, and solution reviews.
  • Champion secure coding practices aligned to DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including Zero Trust and RMF-driven environments.
  • Contribute to platform hardening, reusable solution libraries, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Evaluate and apply emerging technologies where they provide measurable mission value.
