About The Position

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. KBR is seeking a SIGINT Systems Engineer with technical and engineering skills and relevant SIGINT mission expertise to be part of our team supporting our customer in Chantilly, VA that delivers mission-critical capabilities directly supporting intelligence-gathering missions from overhead systems. We lead architectural assessments and report recommendations to senior US Government personnel guiding acquisition and execution of next-generation SIGINT systems needs for the next 10-20 years. These systems deliver collected data distributed to US Government Intelligence Community and Military users. The SIGINT Systems Engineer serves as a technical advisor to support the Government in defining new mission requirements, performing oversight of modeling and simulation, architectural definition clarifying the types of system capabilities, orbits, collection requirements, and system needs for the intelligence and DoD communities. The SIGINT leadership team embraces innovation in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable critical information to US Government decision-makers. This is a position of trust advising the US Government and supporting critical missions in SIGINT, COMINT, FISINT, and ELINT. This is a contingent position based upon contract award

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in SIGINT systems engineering
  • Experience in Requirements
  • Experience in Requirements Tracing
  • Experience in MBSE
  • Experience in Cost, Schedule and Performance trades
  • Experience in systems integration
  • Experience in IVV&T
  • Experience in Risk and Opportunities
  • Experience in Configuration Management and Configuration Control and all the associated processes for space systems and space craft ground systems
  • Systems Engineering training

Responsibilities

  • Define SIGINT requirements
  • Develop and coordinate CONOPS of SIGINT mission systems
  • Write and translate requirements into Epics/Features based on emerging customer needs
  • Understand system-to-system interfaces and function as an Integrator
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
  • Monitor system and segment schedules, recognize dependencies, Identify risks and opportunities
  • Facilitate readiness and demonstrations in support of system and acquisition milestones
  • Integrate new systems and initiatives in support of expanded SIGINT mission inclusive of planning for operational sustainment of existing systems.
  • Participate in studies looking at the future generation of SIGINT capabilities spanning the next decade.
  • Familiarity with overall SIGINT architecture, including space and ground components and mission partner interfaces, inclusive of familiarity with mission control and processing of SIGINT systems.
  • Experience identifying user needs and gaps, identifying potential solutions, and assessing/analyzing alternatives
