About The Position

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Security Design Specialist to join the team in Hazelwood, MO. This role will be part of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Operations team focused on sustaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability for critical security controls across Boeing’s global identity fabric. The right candidate will have great investigation skills, communicate incident cause and resolution between product managers and customers, and possess a genuine passion for learning. Requirements

3+ years of experience implementing Business-to-Business cloud frameworks e.g. AzureB2B and EntraID
3+ years of experience with development and administration in Linux systems in virtualized environments (OracleOS and/or RHEL)
3+ years of experience designing architecture with industry standard security technologies and solutions (e.g. encryption (PGP), certificates (x509), MFA/2FA, and SAML/SSO/IDaaS.)
3+ years of experience with standardized Network Protocols and Services (i.e. TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, etc.)
3+ years of experience with cloud infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure etc.

Nice To Haves

Technical and/or security certifications
Experience with Palo Alto Network firewall
Experience analyzing generated security logs and captures using Splunk, Putty, Wireshark, or other SIEM
Experience with standard networking protocols e.g. SAML, OAuth/OIDC, RADIUS, etc.
Experience with security best practices, threats, and mitigating techniques
Experience with authoring and implementing application and system threat models
Experience with zero trust principles and methodologies

Responsibilities

Provide technical solutions to enforce security requirements and policy compliance in a variety of IT environments and systems
In-depth troubleshooting across multiple technologies
Communicate with customer organizations and gather data to assist in the security implementation of emerging technologies
Investigate and analyze access and authorization, security application, network and system event logs to identify issues and provide problem resolution
Mentor technical staff on best practices along with promoting methods that systemically drive down security risk throughout the company
