About The Position

BGS is seeking a Mid-Level Quality Systems Specialist (QSS) who will support the Production and Quality Teams across all programs based in Jacksonville, FL . The selected candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of project management, data analysis, corrective and preventive action, and Quality Management System (QMS) compliance. The work will be highly task based and will require flexibility, curiosity, collaboration, and ability to influence outcomes with data and planned actions. Position Responsibilities: Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations Leads multi-function, multi-site groups to develop company directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and measures plan effectiveness to ensure completion. Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for complex nonconforming materials, parts and equipment Assists in the development of new standard repairs for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment Works under general direction

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications including blueprint/schematic readings and any airplane engineering technical documents
• 3+ years of experience in collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Experience with AS9001: International Aerospace QMS Standards
• Experience with the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) and/or Systematic Problem Solving

Responsibilities
