About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Quality Engineer to join the Site Supplier Quality Team located in Everett, WA. This position will be supporting the KC-46 Tanker program. Successful candidates will have experience in Root Cause Corrective Action, supply chain background, working directly with suppliers and understanding of contract and technical requirements related to aerospace products. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • 3+ years of Experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
  • Experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data from multiple sources
  • 1+ year of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar Nonconformance management system.
  • 3+ years of experience working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
  • 3+ years of experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
  • 3+ years of Experience working with the Boeing Problem Solving Model

Responsibilities

  • Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Engages with the FAA, ODA Engineering and Inspection unit members on Conformity inspection process.
  • Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.
  • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Works under general direction.
