About The Position

Mid-Level Quality Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Quality Engineer to join our team located in Berkeley, MO! This position will support procurement activity and supplier oversite supporting Phantom Works Specialty Materials group. Successful candidates will have a background in Supplier Quality and Materials and Processing. Strong preference for candidates with knowledge of specialty material maturation milestones with experience supporting material and supplier qualification. This position requires a Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Engineering Computer Science Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Mathematics Physics Chemistry This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
  • 3+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Support early quality involvement with supplier establishing qualification planning
  • Creates Supplier Oversite planning for supplier produced specialty materials
  • Identify and mitigate risk in supply base
  • Engages Supplier Quality Regional support as needed
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Works under general supervision
