About The Position

The Midlevel Provider (Advanced Practice Nurse -APRN or Physician Assistant -PA) collaborates with physicians and a multidisciplinary health team to deliver comprehensive care to outpatients at our Family Medical Center in El Dorado. The Midlevel Provider is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care, educate future healthcare professionals, and contribute to quality improvement and research initiatives.

Requirements

  • APRN Master’s Degree in Nursing – Family Medicine with three (3) years of nursing experience and one (1) year of APRN experience in a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Clinic.
  • PA Master’s Degree – Physician Assistant with one (1) year of PA experience in a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Clinic.

Nice To Haves

  • APRN DNP with three (3) years of nursing experience and three (3) years of APRN experience in a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Clinic.
  • PA with three (3) years of PA experience in a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to UAMS's Circle of Excellence standards, promoting safety, respect, excellence, image, and efficiency.
  • Extend patient care and administrative services in collaboration with UAMS physicians.
  • Provide comprehensive health assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and patient management in collaboration with physicians.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to diagnose and manage patient care, serving as a resource, consultant, and advocate.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care, ensuring timely and appropriate consultations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism, effective communication, and confidentiality while assisting internal and external stakeholders.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
