ENERCON is seeking a Mid-Level Power Uprate Analysis Engineer to join our growing team of nuclear professionals. In this role, you’ll contribute to the evaluation and implementation of power uprates at nuclear facilities, helping to increase reactor output safely and efficiently. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining exposure to a wide range of technical challenges and project scopes. This is an exceptional opportunity for engineers who aspire to grow into advanced technical and leadership roles. Power uprates span the entire plant and typically involve major upgrades such as replacing large pump motors, generators, high-pressure turbines, and feedwater heaters. As such, this role provides a comprehensive understanding of plant systems and their interdependencies. We’re committed to supporting your career development—whether you’re building toward technical specialization, project leadership, or future management roles, we provide the tools and mentorship to help you succeed. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside senior subject matter experts (SMEs), receive dedicated mentorship, and be groomed as a future power uprate specialist. Over time, these individuals will play a key role in training others and leading studies and follow-up modifications whatever career path they choose. We’re looking for engineers with a solid foundation in nuclear engineering and a desire to grow into a subject matter expert. We encourage you to explore this exciting opportunity and become part of our innovative and impactful team—where your work will help bring more nuclear power to the market. This role can be based out of any of our nuclear office locations, and remote work will be considered for strong candidates not located near an office. As a mid-level engineer, you’ll support engineering analyses and design modifications related to power uprates. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions while continuing to grow your expertise in nuclear systems and plant operations. Strategic Impact: Power uprates are rapidly becoming a cornerstone of U.S. energy policy, driven by recently passed legislation aimed at accelerating clean energy deployment. This role places you at the center of that transformation. Power uprates are the quickest and most cost-effective way to bring more nuclear power on-line Career Springboard: With the U.S. targeting a fourfold increase in nuclear capacity—from ~100 GW today to 400 GW by 2050—power uprates are anticipated to only contribute approximately 8 GW. To meet this ambitious goal, the industry will soon shift focus to designing and constructing new reactors, including advanced and small modular reactor technologies. This role positions you to transition seamlessly into those future projects, giving you a front-row seat to the next generation of nuclear development Mentorship & Growth: Work alongside senior subject matter experts (SMEs) who will provide hands-on mentorship and help you develop into a future power uprate specialist Leadership Pathways: This role is designed to groom engineers for leadership—whether you choose to specialize technically, lead teams, or guide future uprate studies and modifications Collaborative Culture: Join a team that values innovation, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement
