About The Position

Mid-Level P-8 Acoustic Operator Subject Matter Expert Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Government Training Engineering is looking for a Mid-Level P-8 Acoustic Operator Subject Matter Expert with instructor experience to join the P-8A Training Systems Mission Assurance Team in Hazelwood, MO . Selected candidate will support software testing to include device delivery acceptance testing with the customer for the Weapons Tactics Trainer (WTT), Mission Systems Desktop Trainer (MSDT) and Part Task Trainer (PTT) across current and upcoming contracts and projects. The candidate will support test activities for P-8A U.S. Navy and P-8A FMS Foreign Military training device testing at facilities in Hazelwood, MO; Jacksonville, FL; Whidbey Island, WA; Australia; South Korea; Germany; and Canada, with potential for new customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of operational experience using P-8A Acoustic Mission Systems
  • 1.5+ years of P-8A Acoustic Instructor experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 20% of the time
  • Experience using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years college in a technical field
  • MAC-E experience
  • Weapons Tactics Instructor (WTI) or Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) Instructor

Responsibilities

  • Support P-8A Training Systems customers by conducting hardware and software testing of Acoustic Mission and Instructor systems
  • Assist in the review and development of system level training requirements and learning objectives
  • Analyze, review, and validate test data and acceptance test procedures
  • Analyze and develop solutions to complex technical problems involving development, testing, and modification of Aircrew Training simulators and associated data
  • Collaborate with software and design engineers in troubleshooting and testing software defects
  • Interact with inter-organizational personnel to contribute to the completion of multiple projects by providing technical solutions that impact cost, schedule, and performance of Aircrew Training simulators
  • Provide customer assistance to address Fleet training needs and explain software defects and their potential impact to Fleet training operations.
  • Ensures compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements and standards
  • Work under minimal direction and meet contractual milestones
  • Off shift, overtime, and weekend work may be required
